IMD Director General LS Rathore says the worst in terms of winds is over, rains to continue.

Phailin has moved ahead from the Odisha coast, currently it is 50 km south of Sambalpur. 

Heavy to very rains to continue in Odisha and Chhattisgarh for the next 24 hours; Jharkhand to get rains for the next 36 hours, later in Bihar. 

IMD has issued flood warning for Bihar as advancing Phailin may lead to heavy rains in the catchment areas of Kosi and Gandak rivers.
