Indian weathermen got it right this time!

Times of India reports: Better observation data, atmospheric as well as at sea level, superior computational facilities and refined models have seen the Indian Meteorological Department come up with highly accurate predictions on Phailin's strength. 

IMD had something to smile about by Saturday evening as Cassandra-like predictions of foreign experts claiming that IMD is vastly underestimating Phailin's power and the prognosis that the cyclone will rival the infamous Katrina turned out to be off the mark.
