Does Alice Munro know she won the Literature Nobel?

The Swedish Academy, which hands out the Nobel Prize, has not been able to get hold of Munro to let her know that she has won the world's most prestigious award for literature!
Munro, who for years lived in a farm, now lives in a small town called Clinton in Ontario. It has, according to Wikipedia, a population of 2,625.
