Anti-Telangana protests scorch Andhra, target Cong chief
October 05, 2013
From Mohammed Siddique: Andhra Pradesh Congress chief Botsa Satyanarayana's family continued to face the wrath of anti-Telangana protesters in his home town Vijayanagaram.

A stone crusher unit at Gajapatinagaram, belonging to the Botsa family, was destroyed by the agitators. This is the latest in a series of such attacks.

On Friday, the agitators tried to barge in his house, destroyed his camp office, pelted stone on the house of his nephew and set fire to a cable network's office.

The state government has sent senior police officials to Vijayanagaram to strengthen the security arrangements in the town.

Security has been further tightened around the residence of Botsa Satyanarayana on MG Road.
