Telangana supporters and leaders of the separate state movement came out in large numbers to remember the people who laid down their lives for the sake of a state of their own.   

Gun Park was built in the memory of nearly four hundred youngsters and students who were killed in the Telangana agitation of 1969-70.    

During the current agitation the place was sealed and closed with barbed wire to prevent people from gathering in large numbers.
