"The UPA's focus was never in doubt; it never deviated from its policies," said Gandhi.

She added that she was disappointed that crucial legislations had not been passed in Parliament due to the "principal opposition's obstructionist approach". 

Gandhi appealed to the BJP-led NDA and other opposition parties to collectively ensure the passage of the food security and land bills.
