Kejriwal: PC, Khurshid granting autonomy to CBI is a joke
May 14, 2013
Arvind Kejriwal tweets: Chidambaram, Salman Khurshid and Sibal to grant autonomy to CBI? Some kind of a joke? All three facing serious corruption charges... Mrs Khurshid and Mrs Chidambaram also facing charges. If CBI becomes independent, all three will go to jail. Their wives will go to jail.

To contextualise this: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh constituted a group of ministers to look into the Supreme Court directives on CBI autonomy. The body will be headed by finance minister P Chidambaram. The SC had indicted the government for its interference in the agency's functioning and asked it to come up with an affidavit on steps to make the CBI autonomous. The GoM will also include V Narayanasamy, Kapil Sibal, Salman Khurshid and Manish Tewary.
