By-polls to two LS, four Assembly seats in Gujarat

Notification for the by-polls to two Lok Sabha and four assembly constituencies in Gujarat, to be held on June 2, was issued today by the state's Chief Election Officer.
As per the notification, the last date for filing of nominations is May 15 and that for withdrawal May 18. Polling would be held on June 2 and counting on June 5. Filing of nominations started today. However, no candidate filed papers today, Chief Election Officer Anita Karwal said in a press release this evening.
