May 04, 2013
The BJP on Saturday demanded an investigation by the CBI into the bribery case involving Railway Minister P K Bansal's nephew V Singla.

Singla was arrested by the CBI, which also held a Member of the Railway Board in connection with alleged bribery of Rs 90 lakh for fixing a top level position in the government.

"The UPA government has set a new record for corruption," said BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad.

He added, "Ministers in the UPA are corrupt because Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh are protecting them".
