"The bomb disposal squad which rushed to the spot, after examination, discovered that it was just an alarm clock kept inside a bomb like object," Deputy Commissioner of Police (East Division) Krishna Bhat said. 

The squad rushed to the spot after a complaint by the resident, a businessman who stated that he had received an anonymous call on his landline that a "holy gift" had been left inside his compound. Bhat said the call was being traced and the culprit would be nabbed "very soon".
