'Consultations going on about resolution on Lanka'

Chidambaram said the government was discussing the issue of moving a resolution on the Lanka issue in Parliament and "consultations are going on".

A final decision on the matter would be taken later in the day, he said.

He claimed that the resolution "had nothing to do with the DMK" and the Congress had always stood for equal rights for the Tamil community.
