Live! Jagmohan Dalmiya named as interim BCCI chief
June 02, 2013
BCCI chief N Srinivasan, after a heated meeting with fellow members of the powerful cricket body in Chennai on Sunday, has agreed to step aside.

However, Srinivasan made it clear that he was merely "stepping aside", not stepping down, till the investigation into the IPL spot fixing scandal was complete.

Jagmohan Dalmiya was named the interim President of BCCI.

His name was proposed by BCCI member and BJP leader Arun Jaitley.

Dalmiya will take care of the day-to-day affairs of the BCCI.

BCCI Secretary Sanjay Jagdale and Treasurer Ajay Shirke, who had both resigned to protest Srinivasan's refusal to quit, have been asked to withdraw their resignations.
