Himanshu Kumar on indefinite fast to demand rights for tribals
June 02, 2013
Activist Himanshu Kumar has started an indefinite fast at Jantar Mantar in Delhi from Saturday to demand the rehabilitation of tribals whose land has been taken away by corporate industries.

Kumar, who has been championing for tribals' rights for years, has worked extensively in Dantewada area in Chhattisgarh.

He wants to highlight how the resources meant for the tribal communities are being usurped by others and how corporate industries are evicting tribal families from their own homes.
