July 08, 2013
Twenty-nine students and a teacher have been killed by suspected Islamist insurgents who set on fire a government school building in Nigeria's Yobe state.

Armed men attacked the Government Secondary School in the town of Mamudo at around 3 am local time yesterday. Witnesses said the suspected militants arrived with containers full of fuel and set fire to the school.

Most of the victims were burnt alive by the assailants. Some of the parents had two or more children killed in the incident while the survivors remained in great shock.
