President Barack Obama has revealed that he made time for shooting during retreats amid a push from the White House and progressive Democrats for tighter gun control laws.

The revelation came in an interview in which the president was asked if he had ever held a gun.

He responded to the New Republic that he has picked up a gun at Camp David and did skeet shooting all the time.

According to ABC News, he said that he has profound respect for the traditions of hunting that trace back in this country for generations.
