Rajnath meets Modi, discusses 2014 election
January 27, 2013
Newly elected BJP president Rajnath Singh on Sunday met Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

While BJP leaders insisted that the meeting was merely a 'courtesy call', insiders say there is more to the meeting between the party chief and the man who is being touted as the BJP's prime ministerial candidate in the 2014 general election.

The meeting lasted for over two hours.

Singh later told journalists that he discussed the "2014 general election and state matters" with the Gujarat CM.
