January 04, 2013
Asserting that zero tolerance level is needed to reduce any crime in the country, Minister of State for Home Affairs RPN Singh today said that the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and System will create a nation-wide environment for real-time sharing of crime and criminal information.

Speaking at the launch of pilot programme of CCTNS in Delhi, Singh said: "The project was initiated in June 2009 and the scale of the exercise undertaken during the last three years to make this a success story has been truly tremendous. The credit for this pilot launch goes to the State police forces and the relentless support and guidance provided by MHA and NCRB officials."
