Leads in Meghalaya

Jova Marak of the United Democratic Party is leading from Rambrai constituency in Meghalaya over Kingford Kharsyntiew of Indian National Congress from Jyrngam constituency. Probin K. Raswai of United Democratic Party is leading from Ranikor over Martin M. Dango of the Indian National Congress.
"The counting will be held in 17 venues in eight districts of the state
with three-tier security layers created in each counting hall," said
Chief Electoral Officer Ashutosh Jindal.
Elections were held on February 14.
Jindal
on Wednesday held meetings with 44 Returning Officers and District
Election Officers to ensure free and fair counting which will start at 8
am.
Nearly 2,500 employees, including counting supervisors and
counting assistants, will be engaged in the counting process along with
micro-observers and Election Commission appointed observers.
Prohibitory
orders have been imposed within 100 meter of each counting hall and the
entire counting process will take place under CCTV surveillance.
