Gun-toting Congress MP from Gujarat resigns
February 25, 2013
Gun-toting MP from Porbandar, Vitthal Radadiya resigns from the Gujarat Congress. Radadia had reportedly lost his cool when a toll plaza attendant dared to ask for his original identity card instead of the photocopy which his driver had furnished to claim his free ride on the highway in October last year. He will join the BJP as a minister.

Gujarat Congress spokesperson Manish Doshi blamed the employee of the toll plaza and said that the Congress will not "tolerate" the rude behaviour of the toll plaza employees towards an elected representative of the people.

At the time of the incident, Radadiya's men reportedly created a ruckus around the entry and exit gates of the toll plaza leading to huge traffic snarls.
