DMK, NC promise to disrupt Pranab's Parl speech
February 15, 2013
The Budget Session of Parliament will be convened from February 21 and the General Budget for the year 2013-14 will be presented on February 28. This is what you can expect...

Allies of the UPA -- the DMK and the National Conference -- have planned to raise slogans against what they perceive is the 'unacceptable attitude' of the UPA in not containing the Tamil massacre in Sri Lanka (that's the DMK's peeve) -- not informing Afzal Guru's family of his execution (that's obviously from the NC).

The two parties will raise the issues when President Pranab Mukherjee addresses the joint session of Parliament.

A senior Union Minister is in touch with the DMK leaders in Chennai to
impress upon them that the party should avoid raising slogans when the President addresses the joint session.
