General winter cancels Rahul's Amethi tour

Congress party vice president Rahul Gandhi's Amethi tour has been cancelled due to bad weather. Heavy rains and hailstorm have lashed several parts of the National
Capital Region since Monday night due to western disturbances,
dampening the spirits of office-goers on Tuesday morning.
The palpable nip in the air coupled with a modest spell of rain left the streets drenched.
The
rains and icy winds from the north after a fresh spell of snowfall is
likely to bring down the temperatures further in Delhi.
The Srinagar-Jammu highway has also been closed for the second day today due to heavy snowfall.
