Welcoming Mamata Banerjee's decision to not allow author Salman Rushdie to visit Kolkata, Trinamool Congress Sultan Ahmed said that he was not ashamed of congratulating West Bengal government from stopping author Salman Rushdie.

"You cannot denigrate Islam and get away with it. Abusing a religion is not free thinking," he told CNN-IBN.
