AAP keeps promise #2: Cuts electricity prices by 50 per cent
December 31, 2013
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal keeps his promise of power subsidy. Holding a press meet after a cabinet meeting, Kejriwal says there will be a 50 per cent cut in electricity prices up to a consumption of 400 units. Rates will be reduced further when the CAG audit is complete.
One of Kejriwal's major pre-poll promises was that he would halve the cost of electricity in Delhi if AAP was elected.
Subsidies will benefit 28 lakh consumers.
