India accepts Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) level talks offer from Pakistan. The meeting will take place on 24 December. The meeting between the two DGMO's was a key understanding achieved when  Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharief had met at the UN in September.

India will be represented by DGMO Lt Gen Vinod Bhatia at the December 24 meet at Wagah, while the Pakistani side will be led by Maj Gen Aamer Riaz.
