Peter O'Toole, the willowy and mesmerizing actor who became an overnight sensation in the 1962 film epic "Lawrence of Arabia,' died Saturday in a London hospital. He was 81. His death, which was confirmed by his agent, came after a prolonged, unspecified illness.
