CBI always works independently: Congress

Senior Congress leader Rashid Alvi on Saturday denied allegations from opposition parties that the Central Bureau of Investigation always worked under pressure from the central government.
Commenting on the allegations -- that the government had put pressure on the CBI before finalising the report on the coal-gate scam -- he said, "Now the Supreme Court has taken up the matter, so now we can only wait for the SC verdict. The BJP has a tendency of providing false information."
