Former president of the Indian Youth Congress Maninderjit Singh Bitta, who was the target of the 1993 blast that Devinder Pal Singh Bhullar is accused of carrying out, said he was happy with the Supreme Courts verdict. The SC has  refused to commute Bhullar's death sentence to life. In an impassioned statement to TV channels, Bitta said he he would work to ensure it was carried out.
