Shumsher K Sheriff to be next Secretary-General, Rajya Sabha

Shumsher K Sheriff has been appointed as the Secretary-General of Rajya Sabha. Sheriff is currently serving as the secretary to Vice President Hamid Ansari.
Sheriff will take over the post on October 1 and hold it till August 31, 2013.
