The Mumbai Traffic Police has urged people to stay put and avoid travel for the next few hours.

Areas like Hindmata, Parel, Sion, Wadala and Dadar in Central Mumbai and Andheri Subway, Jogeshwari, Airport road in Western Mumbai should be avoided, they said.
