Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today accused the Congress of intentionally raising the "bogey of militancy" ahead of the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh assembly elections.         

Addressing media persons, Badal said as home minister, he was fully committed to maintaining peace and tranquillity in the state and would not allow Congress to "vitiate" this.         

"Raising the issue of militancy especially before any elections is the old experiment in the political laboratory of Congress party," he alleged.
