November 22, 2012
Gossip from inside Parliament from our man in the know:

Dr Vijay Mallya wore a black band on his right arm. Obviously, MPs asked him what it was about, but Mallya refused to comment. The MPs then twittered amongst themselves that Mallya was probably mourning for the sad end of Kingfisher Airlines.

In Central Hall of Parliament, all the BJP MP steered clear of a bench where their senior colleagues Yashwant Sinha, Shatrughan Sinha and Jaswant Singh were seated. But former home minister and now finance minister, P Chidambaram strode right up shook hands with them and then walked away. Bonhomie in evidence before the session.

The ADMK MPs in the Rajya Sabha were surprised to see people carrying a huge poster depicting Barack Obama and PM. The BJP MPs have taken the poster and want more copies.

Parliamentary Affairs minister Kamal Nath is seated next to the PM. Earlier Pranab Mukherjee and the PM used to sit together. Salman Khushid and P Chidambaram look uncomfortable together.
