In Delhi: Metros packed; in Mumbai: empty trains

In Delhi, where the effect of the bandh is far worse than in other cities, the metro was the only option available to commuters, as DTC buses, taxis and autorickshaws stayed off the road. At the Rajiv Chowk Metro station, reports of a near-stampede like situation. In Mumbai, however, near-empty trains as people choose to stay home fearing the Shiv Sena supported bandh would disrupt local train services.
