The slum is in an area called Kareli and most of the residents are ragpickers. There were only women and children at the slum with most of the men out at work  An eyewitness tells CNN IBN that the explosion was caused by a bomb. There was one loud explosion in a garbage dump in the slum. The eyewitness says at least six people are believed to be dead.
