Why Cong's Punjab MPs are upset
May 03, 2012

Our Delhi sources say that Congress MPs in Parliament have been looking dejected over the stasis in UPA2. The findings of the AK Antony Committee which examined the Congresss defeat in the recent state elections, didn't make it any better.

Congress MPs from Punjab were probably the most dejected. Antony, they say, should have also reported that it was Rahul Gandhi who declared Capt Amrinder Singh as chief minister of the state if the Congress did well. It was this early projection which they believe caused the partys defeat to the Shiromani Akali Dal.
