The bicycle still rules India

"The party gives immense importance to the development of common man and thus adopted the vehicle of the common man -- a bicycle as its symbol.

That statement was made in Lucknow, capital of Uttar Pradesh, as the Samajwadi Party came into existence. Two decades later, the bicycle remains the party's symbol, and also main mode of transport for the common man, or aam admi.
