Glad cricket matches will resume: Zardari to PM
July 18, 2012
Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari wrote to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh saying, he was "glad that cricket matches will resume between us".

"Matches will be a strong confidence measure building," he said.

The BCCI announced recently that it had decided to resume cricketing ties by inviting the Pakistan cricket team for a short series in December 2012-January 2013.

Three one-day internationals and two Twenty20 matches have been planned.

Cricketing ties between the two countries were suspended after the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
