Of mango parties and Salman Khurshid

Our sources in Delhi tell us that CBI director Amar Pratap Singh will appear before the Parliament's Select Committee on Lokpal. The Lokpal Bill which aims at setting up an anti-corruption watchdog in the country was referred to the Select Committee of Rajya Sabha in May.

Meanwhile, Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid will host a mango party at his house on Saturday for media persons. There will be 60 varieties of mangoes brought to Delhi from six districts of Uttar Pradesh. At least a thousand journalists are likely to attend.
Khurshid was in the news lately for his tart comments on Rahul Gandhi and the Congress. Read
