Sharada Dwivedi, the Mumbai-based historian and researcher, has passed away. She has authored several books on the history and culture of Mumbai and is also on the panel on the Mumbai Heritage Conservation Committee.

Among her most famous works is Bombay, the Cities Within (1995).
