AMU students demand Sachar report be implemented

Students of Aligarh Muslim University have demanded from the Centre immediate implementation of recommendations of the Sachar Committee on the backwardness of Muslim community.
At a convention of Muslim organisations here in the campus yesterday, the AMU Students' Union announced that they will take up the issue of reservation of Muslims "proportionate to their population in the country."
