The few authorised liquor shops in Gujarat selling Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) to those holding permits have been asked to remain shut till December 17 in view of the assembly elections, official sources said. Though Gujarat practices prohibition, there are 30 odd liquor shops located in different cities where those issued liquor permits on health grounds as also foreigners are allowed to buy IMFL, sources said.
