Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today left for Delhi to plead with the Central Government for financial assistance to her cash-strapped government. "Going to plead for Bengal," replied Banerjee cryptically before leaving for the airport. However, she declined to comment if she would meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
