Meanwhile, security forces were today put on alert in Jammu and Kashmir, especially Srinagar, following the blasts in Mumbai. Additional deployment of police and paramilitary CRPF was carried out around sensitive installations in the city to thwart any possible attacks by the militants. They said that although there were no intelligence inputs about any imminent attack in the state, the security grid has been alerted to avoid possible militant attacks following the blasts in Mumbai yesterday.
