Jethmalani after verdict: Thank Vaiko, not me

Lawyer Ram Jethamalani speaking outside the HC just now to cheers, says thanks should be given to MDMK leader Vaiko and the court, and not him, because he had agreed to fight the case on Vaiko's request.

Vaiko had requested Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa to take efforts for cancelling the death sentence awarded to three convicts in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case. President Prathibha Patil had rejected the clemency petitions of Murugan, Santhan and Perarivalan, recently. The sentence of another convict Nalini, was being commuted to life.
